Cancelling Hallowe'en?

Re: Canceling Halloween forever. And ever.

For Those Who Are Terminally Politically Correct And/Or Those Who Are Fundamentally Opposed To Anything Except Their Own Narrow View Of Simon Says:

It's okay to laugh. It's funny, so go ahead and laugh. Yes, it's supposed to be funny. No, really...it's okay to laugh!

No, not all religions are afraid of humor. Yes, Paganism is a type of religion. Yes it is. I don't care who told you it's not -- it is so!

Okay, let's go over to your place and...hey! Wait! Come back here!

For the rest of you: Please have a happy and safe Hallowe'en. And for those to whom it applies, Blessed Samhain!

That's funny! We're not doing the trick or treat thing this year. I'm turning off the lights, not answering the door. We don't need any more obese, cavity-ridden, spotty youth. Religious holiday or not, I don't give a shit.

BTW, are you familiar with the Mexican custom of Dia de los Muertos? (Day of the Dead). Now, that's a macabre holiday, if you ax me.

I'm familiar with Dia de los Muertes. Very similar to Samhain. The ancestors are honored with a party. In Mexico, it's a noisy parade with fireworks. With Samhain, it's a dumb supper. Both celebrations have their regional variations.

Except with Dia de los Muertos, there are a lot of ghastly skeletons depicted. Never quite understood that one.
