Gee Whiz...I wonder what the Blogging Tories are gonna say about this?
Anyone wanna take a guess at how many original excuses they come up with for this lapse in accountability? Do ya think they can out-do the Liberals for fiction and fantasy?
Personally speaking, that's not a contest I'd want to be seen winning.
On the other hand, personally speaking, I don't give a damn. One party is just as bad as another. And this kind of bullshit is not gonna stop as long as the party system stays in place.

UPDATE: Looks like at least one of the serious Blogging Tories is not hiding his head in the sand and hoping everyone else will go away. Good on ya, Phantom. And thanks, Zorpheous, for a spectacular post on it...

Considering the sorce "(H/T Tim)" a bloggin torie, I think you already know.... lol. But then again I am not a typical blogging torie...
Yeah, and some of the rest of them would say you're not a Tory at all -- or you're a red tory at best. You're not drinkin' the koolaid, dude...
...which is why you're on my sidebar.
All politicians are corrupt bastards.
But I am backing the Tories because they seem to understand the threat of Radical Islam better than the Liberals.
The NDP is a joke party though.
My take on it is that the law is retarded - why should you, Chimera, as a taxpayer, pay for me (via a tax writeoff) to attend a convention for a party you don't support? That's just stupid.
That being said, the Torys need to fire the a$$ of whatever twit told them what they were doing is okay.
And now I'm not "serious"...sheeeeeesh...thanks Chimera... you really know how to hurt a guys feewings... :(
Candace: agreed, the law (and the lawyers that gave the go-ahead on this) is an ass. But the whole system is retarded -- we not only pay to support political parties with which we don't agree, but we pay for a whole shitload of stuff like junkets and behind-the-scenes "impress the foreign visitors on the taxpayers' dime" bashes. And when Ottawa throws a bash, the Queen would be envious of the opulence. I don't even know the dude from Outer Slobovia -- what? he can't order pizza like I do? he's gotta have caviar blinis?
But. The law was in place. These are adults playing the game, dammit! They should have gotten another opinion -- from someone whose salary does not depend on their agreement with his answers! They hired him, and they can fire him, but that won't fix the problem -- they bloody well need to stop hiring yesmen!
Ultimately, they are responsible. The buck stops with the guy at the top...whoever that is...liberal or tory or dipper or whatever.
Tim: *pat pat pat* aww...don't cwy...Chimmie's sowwy... 8D
sniffle sniffle.....
