That's a cool video. As to "can we learn from it" well, we probably can. The real question IMHO is "WILL we"?
The answer to that depends upon whether you are an optimist or a realist.
If you're an optimist, the answer is: I hope so.
If you're a realist, the answer is: Not bloody likely.
