South Africa anti-rape condom aims to stop attacks
KLEINMOND, South Africa (Reuters) - A South African inventor unveiled a new anti-rape female condom on Wednesday that hooks onto an attacker's penis and aims to cut one of the highest rates of sexual assault in the world.

Ehlers, who showed off a prototype on Wednesday, said women had tried it for comfort and it had been tested on a plastic male model but not yet on a live man. Production was planned to start next year.
And something tells me they're going to have a difficult time finding a live man to volunteer as guinea pig, too!

The article has someone commenting: "The rapist could become enraged and deal more violence upon the woman." Dude...when the little head is screaming and bleeding, the big head tends to scream along...and any thoughts of doing damage to the woman take (more or less) a back seat...as it were...besides, rape is NOT a sexual act...it is an act of pre-meditated violence. As such, the punishment fits the crime...very, VERY well...
Oh, I heard that!
A couple of friends of mine who had also seen the article (both men, both wincing) were against it on the grounds that some drunken night, some poor sot's disgruntled wife might put it in before he gets home -- and then go to bed.
To which I replied, "...and your point would be...?"
They did't get it. Of course they didn't.
